Biography

I was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, which led to my love of traveling, camping and the outdoors. Over my summers I like to work within America's nationals parks including Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Rocky Mountain National Park and Glacier National Park. In my freetime my fiance and I love to travel, spend time with my family and take trips to museums, zoos and local festivals.

This is my first year teaching at Davis, although I used to ferquently substitute for my fellow teachers. I am excited to help students grow and learn the tools they'll need to pursue their individual goals.

I love to teach English as I believe that language is uniquely an art and a science. A mere snipet of my favorite books include: Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Gina Ochsner's The Russian Dreambook of Color and Flight, Sharon Creech's Walk Two Moons and poetry by Iain S. Thomas.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in English Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (GBR!) and my Master's Degree in Digital Cirriculum and Instruction from Peru State College. I am also American Red Cross certified in CPR/AED/First Aid and have a certificate of completion through the MANDT program.
